When in Tenerife, you will also visit the Botanical Garden of La Orotava, founded in 1788 to house the plants being brought from the New World by the ‘Discoverers’ (including Columbus). Averaging around six hours daily sunshine in winter, Tenerife is ideal for a relaxing break, any time of year.
